Te Kākano – Year 7
Students will consider their personal narrative to date and how this shapes their identity. This will be achieved through:
- Y7 Seed Planting Ceremony
- Y7 Activities day
- Noho marae
- Young Leaders’ day
- Beach Education day
- Learning their pepeha
- Wellbeing activities within form and subject classes
Grounding activity/Seed planting
In their first week at school each Y7 student will plant a seed somewhere on the Marsden grounds. Through this action students will become anchored here, so that they are grounded as part of our school whānau. The event is underscored by the concepts of nurture and growth.
