This week, Marsden held its first large fundraising campaign in over three years, aiming to raise funds to upgrade our auditorium, music classrooms, practice rooms, and equipment. The campaign will help future-proof our facilities and enhance the work of our incredible teachers.
From 10am on 22 August, we held a 24-hour Giving Day where all donations were doubled, thanks to the generosity of donors who agreed to match contributions. The excitement was palpable as we set up our campaign headquarters in the school iCentre, with students and staff dropping in to celebrate each milestone.

Parents, staff, board members and students volunteered their time throughout the day and into the evening, making calls, keeping everyone energised, and cheering the team on. As the final minutes of the campaign drew to a close, excitement buzzed around the school, with students eagerly popping in and out to check on our successes.
Our ambitious goal was to raise $200,000 in 24 hours. We were hopeful, but the outcome exceeded our expectations. We are overjoyed and humbled by the generosity of our wider Marsden community—alumnae, current families, past and present staff—who came together to make this campaign a success.
We are thrilled to move forward with transforming these vital spaces, and we can’t express our gratitude enough. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this incredible achievement!
