Japanese trip rewarding
Marsden's courageous group of Y10 and Y11 students have faced many exciting challenges in the first week of their cultural exchange to Japan. They are travelling with Senior Management Team members Dianne Smith and Jenny Caldwell, reinvigorating the reciprocal exchange relationship we hold with Toin Gakuen, in Yokohama, which had been paused throughout Covid times. Marsden has been thrilled to host two Toin international students throughout this year.
Our intrepid travellers have tackled commuting without getting lost, the sensory overload of Disneyland, plus daily Japanese language, Judo and Shaolin lessons.
From all accounts it has been a wonderfully busy and enriching time and we look forward to further opportunities to engage in the future, including hosting a Toin group for a short term stay in 2024.
