A week of celebrations for Marsden Primary
Marsden Primary and Preschool concluded another busy and successful year with some beautiful celebrations last week.
Primary Celebration and Nativity
We started celebrating on Tuesday, when we held our Primary Celebration to mark all the hard mahi our girls have undertaken throughout the year. Congratulations to all students and, in particular, our prize winners. Years 1-3 students performed the Nativity with zest and confidence. We said a special farewell to our Year 6 cohort, who are moving up to Year 7
next year, and Ms Sturland, who is moving out of Wellington. The celebration was joyful and moving.
Santa Visits Marsden
On Wednesday, we waited with great anticipation in the gardens for a special visit from Santa and his helpers. Finally, they arrived to spread a little Christmas joy to our delighted Preschool and Primary students.
Toy Service
At our traditional end-of-year Church service at St Marys, we gathered to give thanks for all we have achieved this year and to spread some aroha in the community. Each Marsden girl contributed a new unwrapped gift to place under the Christmas tree for the Wellington Women's Refuge. Thank you to all our wonderful families for your generosity, and a special mention to Andrew Huang for donating ten boxes of soft toys! Such a fabulous, kind gesture. Meri kirihimete!
