MERGE Cubes make Health Unit fun
There have been some great digital outcomes from Marsden's Year 8 Physical Education students who have been working on creating MERGE Cubes following a Health unit on nutrition. A MERGE Cube is a series of QR codes which are put together in a cube shape to reveal information via an App on a smartphone or tablet.

In Health, our girls have been learning about carbohydrates, proteins, fats, minerals and vitamins and their importance in the functioning of the human body. Working in small groups they researched content to go on the MERGE Cubes and learnt how to load them using an App called Cospaces. Point a mobile device at the MERGE Cube and the relevant information is displayed using augmented reality.
By designing and developing digital outcomes and sharing the content with each other our students have met technological challenges and increased their understanding of this health unit in a very cool way. Well done girls!
