We are frequently asked a number of questions regarding scholarships and hope any queries you have will be answered here.
Scholarship applications for entry in 2025 have closed. Applications for entry in 2026 will open on 27 January 2025.
Please read the Scholarship FAQs for information on scholarship requirements, procedures and terms and conditions. NB: Supporting documents are required to be uploaded at the time the scholarship application is submitted, please have them ready. Applications received without correct supporting documentation will not be considered.
No Exam
Applications are invited from new and current Māori and Pasifika students who seek a Marsden education, with entry at any level from Years 7 to 13. Providing between 25% – 50% tuition fees, this Scholarship is awarded at the discretion of the Principal.
The Year 7 Academic Excellence Scholarship is awarded for 3 years and provides between 25% – 50% of tuition fees. Available to new or current students, applicants are required to sit the scholarship examination and to provide a curriculum vitae.
The Year 9 Academic Excellence Scholarship is awarded for 5 years and provides between 25% – 50% of tuition fees. Available to new or current students, applicants are required to sit the scholarship examination and to provide a curriculum vitae.
The Year 9 Performing Arts or Sporting Excellence Scholarship is awarded for at least 3 years and provides between 25% – 50% of tuition fees. Available to new or current students, applicants are required to sit the scholarship examination and to provide a curriculum vitae.
In addition
The Marsden Old Girls' Association offers a Scholarship to girls who are daughters, granddaughters or great-granddaughters of Old Girls wishing to enter Year 9. This Scholarship provides 50% of tuition fees (excluding GST) over 3 years. Available to new or current students, applicants are required to sit the scholarship examination and to provide a curriculum vitae.
No exam
Excellence in Sports scholarships are available to girls not currently attending Marsden who are considering entry in Years 10 to 13. If you have a proven record in netball, football, rowing, tennis or hockey, click here for more information and to apply. Consideration may be given to students excelling in other codes.

No Exam
This scholarship is available to girls not currently attending Marsden School and provides between 25% – 50% of tuition fees for 3 years (Year 11) and 2 years (Year 12). Applicants are required to provide a curriculum vitae.

The Ad Summa (Letteri Family) Scholarship is awarded for 3 years and covers 100% of annual tuition fees and levies from Years 11-13. It is available to new and existing students who demonstrate the spirit of Ad Summa - striving to be their best - and who would not be able to attend Marsden without this significant financial support. Awarded at the discretion of the Principal, applicants are required to provide a curriculum vitae and financial statement and, if shortlisted, a Statement of Financial Position to verify their eligibility.
Awarded by the Old Girls' Association on the basis of performance at the annual Betty Swainson Memorial Concert, this Scholarship assists with music tuition. Marsden students in Years 7 to 12, learning music outside the school as well as those learning at Marsden are eligible. Please contact Mrs Marian Campbell, Director of Music.
