Seeing people support others and collectively achieve something fills me with hope and aroha.

Teaching philosophy

Michael is passionate about fostering creativity and confidence in his students, particularly in the areas of English and film. He thrives on seeing students challenge themselves, support one another, and experience those ‘lightbulb moments’ of achievement.

Outside the classroom

Michael enjoys football, filmmaking, and card games. To him, home is more than just a house—it’s a place rich with memories and meaning, as it’s the only home his boys have ever known.
