Visual Arts and Technology Teacher

Krystee Craig joined Marsden in 2025 as our Visual Arts and Technology Teacher, bringing a rich and varied background in arts education and creative practice. With experience teaching at St Patrick’s College, Kilbirnie, Wa Ora Montessori School, and delivering online diplomas through The Learning Connexion, Krystee is passionate about nurturing creativity in students of all ages.

She has also led art-based holiday programmes at Wellington City Gallery and Te Papa, and over the past eight years, has successfully run her own art business—exhibiting and selling her work, teaching both adults and children, and designing nationwide workshops. She also produced a popular online watercolour course that continues to inspire learners from across the country.

Creativity is a powerful way to express emotions, tell stories, and connect with others. I’m passionate about helping students explore their creativity, find their voice, and be inspired through the creative journey.

Krystee holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts, a Diploma in Christian Ministry (majoring in Contemporary Visual Arts), and a Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching (Visual Arts and Technology). Her teaching is shaped by her deep belief in the power of the arts to inspire, connect and uplift.

Outside of the classroom, Krystee loves climbing mountains, running, and spending time in nature with her three sons. A maker at heart, she draws inspiration from both land and sea, and fills her home with art, warmth, music, and laughter.
