Being part of a student’s journey as they transform and strengthen their cognitive functions and watching them blossom in self-belief and confidence is such a privilege.

Specialist Arrowsmith training

After a hiatus, Lizzie returned to Marsden in 2014 as Marsden’s Arrowsmith Program® Cognitive Trainer. In preparation for this role, she embarked on a transformative four-week training course in Toronto, Canada alongside her team teacher, Mary Gavigan. Their cohort comprised 55 worldwide educators, fostering a vibrant exchange of ideas and experiences.

Together, Lizzie and Mary were immersed in a comprehensive curriculum that explored the intersection of neuroscience and education, the founding principles of the Arrowsmith Program®, and cutting-edge research in the field. Their training also encompassed hands-on experience in implementing cognitive exercises integral to the programme.

Energised by newfound knowledge, Lizzie returned to Marsden inspired to implement the Arrowsmith Program®, contributing to the school's commitment to excellence in education.

Passion for student growth

Working alongside inspiring students, supportive families, and dedicated colleagues, Lizzie considers herself fortunate to be part of such a dynamic and inspiring community.
