Scholars' Assembly
Marsden celebrated the fantastic achievements of our top scholars for 2020 at a special Scholars' Assembly on Monday 12 April. Many proud family members of scholars' colours' recipients joined us for the occasion. Congratulations to all recipients you should be extremely proud of your achievements, we are!
It was lovely to welcome as guest speaker, young Old Girl, Sophie Aitken (pictured below left), who shared stories of her journey to becoming a family lawyer.
We were also delighted to have biographer and historian Jane Tolerton (above right) take part in the assembly to mark Anzac Day. Fascinating anecdotes of Old Girls from Mrs Maryanne Swainson's Fitzherbert Tce school, taken from Jane's book 'Make Her Praises Heard Afar', reminded us of the very important part played by women in the first world war.
